Why I love it?

Beeswax wraps are my number 1 eco-friendly and plastic-free discovery. The wraps are reusable, compostable and 100% natural making them the perfect alternative to disposable food wrap like clingfilm or tinfoil. The combination of breathable cotton with naturally antibacterial ingredients means your food stays fresher for longer - no more sweaty sandwiches. Beeswax wraps remain sticky and clingy, even after washing and re-using them again and again. They can last up to a year when looked after properly which means you never need to use clingfilm again!

Why swap?

Pretty much all of the food wrap we use at home, from cling film to sandwich bags and tin foil are single-use. Cling film in particular is really difficult and costly to recycle, so the majority of it goes into the bin. Eventually it ends up in the landfill, incinerator or our oceans where the chemicals will pollute our earth, air or water.

How to take care of your beeswax wraps

Use the warmth of your hands to form your beeswax wrap over the top of bowls or around your food. The wrap will hold its shape, creating a seal for your food. Clean just like a plate by wiping your wrap with a sponge or cloth using cold (not hot) water and a mild soap and leave to dry. Once you have used your wrap to the max, reuse, compost, recycle or use as a firelighter. Don't use with raw meat or fish. Don't expose to hot temperatures. Do not microwave.

Greener Kitchen Box packaging: I use minimal packaging to keep  my impact low whilst ensuring your products arrive safely. The box, paper and filler are all reused, recycled and recyclable. The packing materials (flyers, letter, seed card) are recyclable, gift messages are written on reused card and paper tape is recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.
